BIOgraphy

I am from Spruce Grove, Alberta. I have been playing hockey since I was four years old. I am a leader and playmaker on the ice who plays solid, hardworking, intelligent, two-way hockey. I enjoy the physical work in the corners and along the boards and winning the puck in those battles. I can play forward and defense. My father has a degree in medicine and my mother is the primary caretaker for my four siblings at home.

Scouting Report

SHOOTING

He has a good shot. It is hard, somewhat accurate and he is good at getting the shot off. His wrist shot and backhand are very hard and direct. He does have a good upside potential of putting up more points in the right situations with skilled linemates. He does get his shot off quickly and off well, but he does need to work on his accuracy.

SKATING

He has the power and speed of a power forward. When he gets going he flies. With his size and skill, it is very hard to get a puck off him. He is one of the fastest skaters on the ice and is surprising to many as you don’t expect a player his size to move as fast as he does. It is scary for any defender to see him flying at you. One area he could work on is his initial acceleration.

PLAYMAKING

He is a great playmaker. Very unselfish with the puck. He will make the best play that gets the puck in the net for the team. He is the man you want on the forecheck because there is a good chance that he will get that puck. Now when he gets the puck, he has the skill to make a nice tape-to-tape pass to open up a scoring chance. He is relentless on the ice, and I have not seen anyone who will outwork him. Paired with his passing ability this makes him a very good playmaker.

HOCKEY SENSE

His hockey sense is pretty decent. He knows where to be on the ice to help out defensively, which helps create turnovers for any team that he is on. Now in the offensive zone, he knows where to be because he is the man you want in the corners fighting for the puck. He loves how Evander Kane plays and you can see that in how he plays and how he reads plays. He may not be the best when it comes to anticipating what a defenceman wants to do when breaking out, so that would be something he could work on.

PHYSICALITY

This is where He thrives and creates havoc for opposing teams. The guy seems to love getting dirty in the corners. He is the man you want going in first on the forecheck because he will get that puck and if he doesn’t, he will hunt it down. Felix is an absolute beast when it comes to forechecking and being physical. With him being 6’1″ and 170 lbs, it is hard to be bigger than him at his age. He is a leader when the team needs a momentum-swinging shift or hit. You can really see Evander Kane’s effect on his game, and it is exciting to see where he will grow in this category.

 SPECIAL TEAMS

He has developed a defensive conscience and tenacity as an effective penalty-killer with timely pressure, body, and stick utilization. On the power play, he has a presence in front of the net and has a great ability to get leverage on opponents. Isaiah can also use his speed to either create high-danger chances or to draw penalties.

TWO WAY GAME

He plays a very strong and solid 200-foot game. He is strong on face-offs, and he takes as much pride in breaking up opposing line rushes while backchecking as he does create scoring chances on the other team’s net. Isaiah will always be the man thinking defense first. which makes him a very good defensive forward
